Textile Design
2100×2700mm 2025
During an exhibition in the Goto Islands, Nagasaki, I decided to create a large piece of fabric to match the spacious venue. The sea around the islands is very clear and beautiful. The area used to have a lot of coral, and many souvenir shops still reflect this history. Inspired by my visit six years ago, I used motifs such as coral, shells, seaweed, and even small pieces of debris found on the shore to create the fabric, capturing the feeling of the islands and the memories of the sea.
