I created the illustration for the culture section opener of Hanako magazine’s December 2025 issue.
Inspired by the season, the botanical composition subtly incorporates the number “12” as a quiet reference to the year’s end.The project was completed using risograph printing in its final stage.
The subtle shifts and ink textures inherent to the process were intentionally embraced, lending the digitally constructed imagery a quiet, archival quality reminiscent of botanical encyclopedias while retaining a contemporary editorial tone.
