I stayed in the Goto Islands in Nagasaki for one month as part of an artist-in-residence program and held a solo exhibition there.
I had never stayed long-term anywhere in Japan outside of Tokyo before, so being able to connect with people on the island was a really valuable experience.

The solo exhibition in such a large space came together very suddenly and was pretty chaotic, but I somehow managed to create a large-scale fabric piece that I had always wanted to make.
