"I created this book around the theme of pausing to think about plants. One of the things I love most about drawing illustrations is how it allows me to reflect on a motif over a long period of time. While I have always drawn plants, I wanted to see what kind of new perspective I could bring to them now that I have fully committed to working as a professional illustrator.

植物について立ち止まって考えるがテーマで本を作りました。絵を描くことで楽しいことの一つに、モチーフに対して長く向き合って考えるということがあります。ずっと植物の絵を描いていますが、イラストレーターとして活動するという覚悟が決まった状態で今描いたらどうなんだろう？と思って制作しています。
